Greater Michigan Construction Academy Scholarships
Each year, a limited number of scholarships are available for students and individuals pursuing post-secondary skilled trades education and training.
This scholarship covers up to the cost of tuition and books for the student’s first year (two 20 week semesters) of a craft training curriculum that’s provided by GMCA.
The classes offered at the Greater Michigan Construction Academy are accredited by the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) organization.
Deadline to apply for the scholarship is March 4, 2027.
In memory of Tracie Greene, this scholarship honors her legacy by supporting women who aspire to build careers in construction and the skilled trades. Recognizing the importance of diversity and inclusion in traditionally male-dominated fields, this scholarship encourages women to pursue their dreams in the construction industry.
The scholarship awards up to $1,000 as a one-time disbursement to assist with training at GMCA. This scholarship is open to women with a demonstrated interest in construction or skilled trades who are committed to making an impact in their communities and the industry.

The DeShano Family Foundation is proud to support GMCA students pursuing careers in the skilled trades. The scholarship, valued at up to $ 3,000 annually, is available to current and future GMCA students seeking to advance their education and join the construction/skilled trades workforce.

Rollie Anderson was a passionate advocate for the skilled trades and believed strongly in creating opportunities for individuals pursuing careers in the construction industry. His family is honored to carry on his legacy by helping the next generation of skilled trade professionals achieve their goals.
The Rollie Anderson Memorial Scholarship is available to qualifying GMCA students. The amount of tuition assistance awarded will vary based on the individual circumstances of each applicant.

The Great Lakes Safety Training Center is proud to support GMCA students pursuing careers in the skilled trades. This $1,500 scholarship, awarded in two payments of $750 for the fall and winter terms, is designed to help students advance their education while promoting the development of a highly trained and safety-focused workforce.
